Wow that is a nice one! Interesting temperature gauge on the center console - is that a 25th Aniv special part or aftermarket? I like the 6-slot cassette holder

I think I saw a 25th anniversary silver coupe in Richmond the other day. It wasn't in similar shape however....
It even had the same 6x8x16 Fuchs.

I was wondering about that as well when I saw it, not that it matters, but how does an insurance company write a contract on a car that is 17 years old? After about 5 model years just about impossible to get any kind of worthwhile extended warranty.

All '89 Carreras came with 6&8X16" Fuchs. And if I'm not mistaken, the plaque on the glovebox door is supposed to have the VIN of the car on it -- the one in the auction is blank. That car is covered head to toe in detail-shop grease. Looks great in the photos, disgusting in person.
Victory has a spotty reputation. Caveat Emptor. A 116,000-mile 911 is a 116,000-mile 911, regardless of how it looks in the pictures. Why would anyone spend $24K on a 3.2 Carrera with high miles, when you can get a low-mileage 964 for the same money? |

AIC (www.aicauto.com) also has a Silver Anniversary model. 34K miles and $36,500. That makes this one look reasonable.

I'm not quite sure if I agree. Late Carrera's in top shape are becoming very hard to find as many cars are becoming tired and worn out. And not everyone is looking for the same thing in a car. Not everyone likes 964's, and many are looking for the "classic" 911 look.
I can't speak with great wisdom as to if this car is in the requisite shape for top dollar. Admittidely the interior looks a little tired, and at 116K it may need some mechanicals if they haven't been taken care of. But for arguements sake, if it is in top shape, that doesn't seem too far off. If it isn't in top shape, then yes, way off the mark. Just food for thought, but I do think many around here devalue top cars as most around here are not looking for top cars, just ones that run around a track quickly.
