Default Tequipment Roll Bar

Where is a good place to get information and pricing on Porsche Teuipment Roll Bars? I have looked on the web but nothing of merit. Any help would be appreciated. This will go in my 2002 996TT.

Thanks!

I think he is reffering to the inevitable high cost of a TEquipment stuff versus the relatively for economical aftermarket stuff. There are more than likely more cost-effective and just as high quality alternatives out there.

OK, ..... standing yet?
OG racing has a special advertised on renlist.
The bar for my car is less than $300 there.
I haven't been there yet, but their in Sterling Va.
Go to rennlist.com and see if they have one to fit your car.

Gunther,

I ended up buying the DAS bar for my 996. It's actually a bit more expensive than the porsche bar, especially when you factor in powder coating, but it seems to be very nicely built.

If you want the porsche bar, you might try suncoastporsche.com

Oh, I didn't get it from OG. I got it from DAS. I talked to someone at OG and they said they had not yet fitted a bar to a 996 and so I just went with DAS. I think OG is probably less expensive if they have a 996 bar now.

I don't remember how much the DAS bar was. Something around $1000. Plus I think I paid a couple hundred bucks to have the bar and the mounting pieces powder coated.

I think I remember reading potential issues (safety) with the TE bars??? I know that installing them is a bit of a bear, but then I imagine this would be the case with any pre-built bar.

I'd love to find a rollbar that I could easily install and remove as needed. However, is it an issue to have a bolt-in vs. welded solution when attending DE or other sanctioned events?
