I just had two of these installed on my Mustang 5.0:
http://www.rpmoutlet.com/powercat.htm From the butt-o-meter they seem to work very well. I was thinking I'd replace the stock cat on the 911 with this unit as well. They only run $150 each. What bypass pass do you all recommend me purchase to modify and add this on to? Or should I just run without a cat?

Before you do anything climb under your car a take a look at your existing cat. It has a unique to Porsche flange at both ends. To modify the new cat would mean cutting up your old cat or getting another stock one to cutup & weld the ends on the new one. Either way is expensive. The other alternative is use what is called a “test pipe”, about $125 from almost anyone. Most are considerable lighter gage steel than stock & all are federally prohibited on street cars. We’re went through 2 on the SC, "which is never driven on the street
One interesting note is that a lot of ’84 to ’89 Carrera’s can pass emissions w/out a cat (must be in good mechanical condition & tune, fresh oil, air filter, full operating temperature). The point is if you have a Carrera, "which is never driven on the street

I was at IMA and saw a 88-89 Carrerra on a lift. Don't know what brand they were but it had SSI's with heater boxes, hi flow cats, and muffler, all stainless steel. Don't know if IMA installed the system or cost but it couldn't have been cheap.

I know Tiff made up a muffler that connects to early heat exchangers that includes a small muffler and a cat.
A trick solution might be to buy a standard cat bypass and then weld in the high flow cat. The tree hugger in me says the cat does good things for the air.

UPDATE:
Took the Stang to emissions this evening and it passed with flying colors....looks like I'm now in the hunt for a good bypass pipe for the p-car...then I'll have the Powercat added on to it. Too many projects....too little time
