Default Front End Stuff This Weekend

As previously warned on another thread, I'm doing front end pads, rotors, bleeding, bearings, etc this weekend. All the parts are in. Except for 12-3 Sat I'll probably be on it the whole weekend until done. If anybody wants to come by, pm me for my cell #. I may need some help with new curse words if I run out of my own extensive repetoire. Ask Jim. He helped me "simply unscrew" my old tie rods.

I can teach you some greek ones....they're fun!!

I can probably give you a hand one day this weekend. Look for a PM.

Think of any special tools you may need me to bring.

Charlie--

Thanks. The only things I can think of are that thing to pull the pads out, that thing that pushes the calipers in, and the wheel bearing tool if you need it for the front. None of them seem to be necessities, though.

If you buy the tube of grease, I have a grease gun and a bearing packer. Much less messier than packing by hand. I'll also bring the race installer/driver set.

I'll also bring a propane torch just in case you are not allowed to cook the hubs in the oven

Here's directions to my house:
From Fairfax/Reston area:

take 28 towards Manassas.

Stay on 28 all the way into town. It becomes a oneway street at the fire station (old train wheel fire bell out front). Crossing streets after that point are East, Main, Battle, then West. There is a light at Main. Get in right lane after light and take right onto West.
Next stop sign is Portner. Cross Portner and next crossing intersection is Beauregard. My house, 9240 Beauregard will be facing you on left front at that point. Most identifiable feature is large wraparound porch. House color is light bue-gray.

Total time from 28/66 is 10-15 min.

From Fauquier/south of Manassas: 66E to 234 bypass, get off bypass onto 28N. Lights at Godwin, Wellington, Stonewall, then Grant. Cross Grant Ave (234 bus.) and take left onto West. Stay on West across Church (28S) and the rest is the same.

From 95, take 234 towards Manassas, stay on bypass to 28N, then follow previous paragraph.

I have two driveways--one on Beauregard, one on West. If they're both full, street partking should be done on Beauregard. You can pull a little onto the yard. The garage is on the West St. side.

PM or call me if necessary. So far it sounds like Jason, Charlie, maybe Ted are coming. Again, will be working all weekend until done, except for 11-3:30 on Saturday. Starting about 8:30 am both days.
