sorry if this is a repost (by ME!) but i literally cant remember...
are there any ceramic coat'ers near g-burg or rockville? i'm sick of my stained, oxidized(?), exhaust tips and want them flat black. or will high temp engine paint work just as well? thanks!

I would think engine paint would work OK.
I recently painted my truck's tailpipe tip w/ POR15 (it had an ugly, rust-colored-but-not-rusted patina). Seems to be holding up OK. POR may make a flat black (mine is somewhat glossy).

Let me take that back. I looked at the paint last night and some of it is starting to flake off. I only cleaned it w/ some soap & water, which may have been why the paint isn't holding up well.

Before painting...clean real well with soapy water(harsher cleaners for oily dirt) then use a scotch brite pad to give the paint something to latch on to, clean that residue off with brake clean , carb cleaner or equivalent and then paint. Should hold up for a long awhile
