Default Baltimore Grand Prix

A friend of mine is involved with the Baltimore Groand Prix and asked me if I knew anyone who might be interested. His name is Carl Coscia and his email is: carl.coscia@gmail.com

www.baltimoregp.com

"If you are interested in purchasing advanced tickets to the Baltimore Grand Prix to be held over the 2011 Labor Day weekend. Please go to www.baltimoregp.com click on tickets and signup for the checkered flag club.

Checkered flag club members will receive email notification with the details to purchase tickets. This is your best chance to get tickets to premium grandstand seating for one, two or all three days of racing, VIP PIT and Paddock access, and other motorsport enthusiast activities such as ride-along tickets. Grandstand seating and VIP Pit and Paddock access tickets will be limited.

Any member or car club interested in a corral at the event can contact me and I will help put them in touch with the appropriate event planners. I am not part of the event or the ownership but as a citizen of Baltimore and racing enthusiasts I want this event to be the most successful motorsport event on the East coast.

The conflict with VIR is quite unfortunate. The Baltimore GP would like to get a good turnout from all of the local enthusiasts, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Cadillac, Corvette, Mazda,................

We are working to bring the drivers from the various teams to the clubs respective corrals, perhaps video of practice and hot laps, and some driving technique, training, and skills Q&A

Very unfortunate. I want to attend as many Potomac PCA driving events as I can this year so this hurts me directly.

Carl

I've been to an Indy car race at Laguna Seca and an ALMS race at Infineon Raceway. All things considered, I'd rather be driving VIR than watching a race in downtown Baltimore of all places.

Sometimes you gotta do something just because it's there. Charlie posted some photos of hims time in the pits at ALMS when they did it in DC (once). Wish I got to attend.

I really hope it's better than the DC event. Poorly planned and executed. Hard to watch. Only thing good was seeing our ALMS friends.

That is the case. VIR is Labor Day weekend and there are no options to change that I know of.

If we give up the VIR date, we will lose it.
