Thought I would bump this since we are getting close. I haven't been this psyched about driving in a long time. Lots of new stuff for the car over the offseason....incl getting the rear fender hammered out and painted after the CR.

I'm concerned about tire rub w/ the new 285 18s in the rear. I have about .5 of an inch on the outside and inside....after pulling the fender out some today (to include some small dents to the new body/paint, oh well...the price for more grip).

That's about where I am with clearance. No troubles with stiff set-up. New wing/splitter as well I see. Just what you need, things to go even faster! Make room in the trophy case.....
Best wishes for the season with all the new goodies!

When I was running Ho ho's on the964, you could barely slide a credit card between the sidewall and fender. Never had a rubbing problem until I took the same size BFG R1 and it rubbed the paint. When we measured the two tires, the BFG was much wider than the equally sized Hoosier.

Thanks guys. Manny that is where I started with this project, about a credit card between the tire and fender but took some spacer out and pulled the fender a bit so that is good news.

I tried mpsc's once (2006?) and they were much wider than the 255 RA-1s I was running at the time. This pic was taken on my first sesion w/ mpscs...I got black flagged this or the next lap.

The car might be faster but I keep getting slower.

Still hoping you leave your big brakes on and stay in I Prep.
