yeah... i have a watch on order w/ them and they're taking for.ever...

silverstreak,
thanks. those are good suggestions.

RL,
which one did you get? amazon has really good prices but doesn't seem to have a great selection of 'orbita' winders. i'd really prefer one that is adjustable in frequency as well as direction.

I think this is the one I have. It's no work of art, but it does the job.

That is a deal for a winder. May have to grab one except I hardly ever take my watch off anymore.

I also used to have the watch fetish... changing watches daily, changing out bands etc. A few years ago I started looking for a new addition and really wanted something A) worth keeping forever and B) that I most likely would hardly see on someone else's wrist. (that pretty much ruled out all the me too brands, nothing wrong with them).

This is what I ended up with. beefy, clean, timeless, not blingy, easy to read, scratch proof crystal front and back, just as appropriate hiking, or on the racetrack or in a biz suit.

Whaddya think? Oh, and purchased a mint 2nd hand unit for a 1/3 of retail

Funny thing is that once I got this one I never took it off and ended up selling off all the others (only kept my trusty 18 yr old seiko flight master).

I know it is cliche and all that, but this is my favorite watch. My boys also like playing with the stopwatch functions. The problem is that now I sometimes forget to lock the stems, and I fear that someday I will get water in it that way.

Eh, cliche' whatever. If you want one you want one. I've got cliche' but I don't care. I like it. Although my band is different from the picture.

I like the older vintage daytonas a lot. That Tag Carrera GMT is sweet. Had one just like that and it was my old favorite.

Another nice oldy is the Omega Speedmasters

I also have a Tag 2000 Automatic professional 200 meters. I've had it for about 16 years. I dig the 3 dial look. I wanted the Porsche RS Spyder watch for father's day. It's yellow and kinda cool. I'll just have to wait and see

Damn guys, I did not knew you all were into watches as well as P cars! Some nice examples so far, I have a few (+ or - 30). Mostly automatics and mechanicals. About 5 or 6 chronos with 2 of those with black and red stitching band to match the Targa! Got 1 that is an early Daytona style chrono and is manual wind. I'll try to post pics later...
