i forgot to mention the pagids which actually were one of the biggest differences. no fading, no locking, just gave me soooo much more confidence going faster and braking deeper... Steve, you throw that 944 around pretty damn good.

Thanks!

I need to crop this up a bit, but here's a dirty Doublemint after I "threw" it off the track in Turn 2. Man that mud was slippery!!!

Definitely a good weekend and great start to the track season. Red group was an exciting place to be with 2 996 Cup RSs, Ivan's F-in' Blue Car, and some wicked fast 944 Ivan was driving around. Sunday was coooold, but the last sesson made it seem worth it as I chased Darrell (997 GT3 RS) and Eric (wicked fast RSA) around until we caught one of the Cup RS cars. Good stuff! Oh yes... We saw deer! About 3 of them raced across the chute just as we were turning into it! It was attention grabbing, to say the least. Next up, Zone 2 VIR.

that's jazzbass. you guys looked like you were coming back from a coffee/funrun gathering or something...

unfortunately, due to 915 issues, i have to bow out of zone2vir... kinda sux, but i'd rather take my time fixing stuff so it's ready for midohio instead. only get to go there once this year whearas vir is up 3-4 times...

The call was made not to sweep the mud off the track by our pit out/ stewards. To sweep would have lost at least 10-15 minutes track time. Would you want this taken off the offending run group. We had a lot of gravel left on the track at T1 in red group when the Blue beast plowed in to the gravel. Luckily most of it was off line. At Club Race we have enough corner workers and the ability to clean up fairly quickly with minimal track time lost. Unfortunately with S.P. s flaggers, most not very experienced, probably don't have a broom between them and not all corners are manned. The gravel did destroy one red run group windshield but that was thrown up at pit out by the car that went into the gravel. Moral of the story, blame the guy who went off and made the mess or has to be towed in for loosing track time.

Was a fun weekend despite the Sunday cold. Congrats to Lucky on the black promo....you are clockin' out there. The ground hog made for some very interesting negotiation in T4. We had passed the "debris" many laps already, but I gave a late passing signal for drivers right between 3 and 4. We both backed way down, but amazingly there was enough room for the other driver to squeeze between the dead rat and the T4 curbing since there was no time for him to get back on line after the pass. Also, I forget who's sig says "Tire walls are bouncy", but unfortunately I must agree!

You didn't.... Did we just gain a new member to the "tirewall club"? I hope not.

Congrats to Lucky on the promotion! Sounds like I missed a fun one, hope to see everyone at mid-ohio.

Mid O is a long way off. I don't recall this big of a gap last spring....then again I was replacing a motor. Glad not to be doing it again this time.
