But there is also some comfort in knowing that you can fix stuff on your own schedule and in the middle of the night. I have welded (and machined) some odd crap together in a pinch to fix something else. When you have the capability you look at things a whole different way. If you enjoy tinkering, that can be invaluable. I have LOTS of tools that I rarely use. Heck, I even have some $$$ that I've NEVER used (yet). But I needed them once, didn't have them, and vowed never to be in that situation again. So I hunted down a good deal before I got stuck the next time. Hell, I have $20k tied up in the teener that I've only driven a couple times and hasn't moved in 5 yrs mostly due to a frickin' fuel line. Doesn't mean Im going to sell it

Thats it. The maxstar thats he dc only unit. I did use my buddies econotig to weld some radiator coolant hose together. It wasnt a chore but you had to move fast or risked blowing thru. He trued to sell it to me but i wanted more amps and lower tunablitly for sheetmetal.
Iirc ponying up the extra stratch for the dynasty was not work it vs the diversion unless you needed the amps or control for aluminum. It really came down the a measuring contest on what and who had what. I do recall a few guys in oher forums buying the dynasty later on for the wave control etc for alum and selling thier diversion cheap.
