Fancy, expensive dinner with high-$ vino? Currys gift cards? This is way over and above luke-warm coffee and crappy pizza.
Hmm....how about:

We stop work on the race car at 5pm, get cleaned up, then have Dr K chauffeur us around Richmond to spend his money. Steak dinner then strippers. Out of town participants may be able to stay at hotel de Kaefer. Then in the morning Dr K will take us to the country breakfast place down the street, buy us breakfast, then we work on the car for 30 minutes before everyone heads back north, Dr K and race car included.

We could easily kill $2k+ of Dr K's $$$ that night...

Just a thought...

See my post above. I guess we could substitute good Chinese food vs. a steak dinner. I know a few places.

Are you talking about the same guy that was trying to sell a free gift card?

Yessir. He was trying to raise cash to help pay for the racecar reassembly day festivities!

Good Richmond Pizza... Whattt?

Being originally from NJ and considering myself a food snob I only consider two places in Richmond that have 'good' pizza.

Jo-Jo's Pizza
1201 East Main Street
Richmond, VA 23219-3627
(804) 225-9600

and

The Pizza Place
1731 E MAIN ST
RICHMOND, VA 23223
(804) 343-1300

but I doubt the DR. will order from either. More like cici's pizza buffet.

Very interesting for me to follow Peter's build on the car. As he and Scott know, that's my old 911!! I bought that car new, actually ordered it, with the red leather interior. Was a shame to see what happened to it. I came very close to buying it from Scott and "bringing it home" but just couldn't justify 2 '86 Carreras in the driveway.

Looking forward to seeing my old car back on the track again, that's where it always belonged.
