Changing valve springs

The intake and exhaust spring compressors are different because they use the cam cover bolts to mount to. The stud arraignment is different on the top and bottom of the cover. These will work up to Carrera. I haven't tried them on 964 but I think stud arraignment is the same but downsized to 6mm.
One thing to consider is checking the installed spring height. (Some cam manufacturers spec out closed spring pressure instead of installed height). And although you can check spring height in place it is an awful amount of work. And don't forget if you are using a very high lift cam to check retainer to valve guide clearance and coil bind. This is almost impossible to do in the car.

Thanks for the expertise Matt. The car in question has been running as for some time, for whatever that's worth. More information is trickling in, hopefully I will have more details shortly. The car needs an exhaust upgrade as it stands, I'm trying to get a grasp on what needs to be done right away and what can until a rainy day.
