By the way, if you have read the 72-83 4 vol manual set, Porsche mentions that they went to the cast iron PP because they upped the spring pressure by 30%. The aluminum couldn't take it. What you lose by rotating mass you gain by increased clutch life.

That is a great note . . . explains why my clutch pedal feels "easier" than some of the other 915 clad 911s with the helper spring.
