Hmm- I may if the timing is right, but it depends on the mercy of my bosses. They told me I need to go to India to visit our development office in that timeframe.

Good point, except in this case, it's the reverse
For some of you who have met my Dad...he is semi-retired and he splits his time between Chicago, DC and Jakarta, Indonesia.

In Jakarta, with all those potholes, smog and pollution, and constant threat of being mugged or vandalized at traffic lights -
there's no real market for convertibles. Especially Porsches are extremely not-affordable there....(300% luxury tax! plus the markups by the dealers/distributors..whew )

It is a lot safer and makes a lot of sense to have some type of "shit-box" SUV.....harsh ride, ugly, doesn't attract envious people or criminals, but rides well in bad roads or flooded streets during rainy season...So that's my dad's vehicle of choice.

When he's here visiting me - I can always guarantee that he will take the wheel at every opportunity to drive that Boxster ...

(lengthy explanation...hope I didn't make the entire board members bored ...)

Cheers,
Ardy

Certainly not! You properly used homophones in a sentence. If there were awards to be had, I'd nominate you for one.

Only recently I learned about this board from Fritz and Ken (joep) when we were volunteering at the HPDC in Summit Point.

I usually drive a silver 2001 986 (with my Dorkiphus nickname in the license plate), and just recently acquired a silver 2005 955-S as my daily driver.

Thanks and I look forward to talking to/hanging out/competing/eating with you in the next events!

Cheers,
Ardy

My name is Doug and I live in Calvert County, MD.

Right now I am driving/working on a 1987 944 Turbo, I have owned the car for 2 years.

Since I bought the car I have stripped the interior and changed it from tan to black, added a blue tooth head unit, replaced all of the speakers, added sound deadening and some other minor things like chips, a couple of splitters and a few different exhaust setups.

A few of you might recognize me from Rennlist.

The car may not be perfect but hey its fun!

Welcome, Doug. I don't recognize the track - where was the photo taken? Also, I notice a specific lack of numbers on your car...we'll have to do something about that (951s were made for the track, you know!).

Hi Doug,
And x2 on the photo location. Track junkie? Or a spectator?
