And now let us all gather together and sing...♫ ♬ ♪
I truly wish I had the time to get more seat time at a DE. But I have learned a lot just reading thru all of this thread. And I'm not jealous of the faster cars either, I've learned I can usually shame them with the boxster on the switch backs!

Not even close dude. According to this site,
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2000/IlanaEpstein.shtml ...our lowly planet is moving around the sun at about 18.5 mpSECOND! That's about 66,600 MPH. Oh crap....666....WTH does that mean?

So then, factoring in the rotation of the earth, at the end of the straight at Summit, you're only going 2.6% faster than I am!

The problem with my car in the corners, besides the poor driver, is the extra weight. It's a pig through T6,7, & 8. If I wanted to tear the car up I could probably remove 200-300 lbs.
Tony, I'll see if Dr John is at Shenandoah and get him to drive the car. Last edited by Landjet; 05-21-2010 at 10:30 AM. |

Unfortunately, lots of contreversy about that number. According to this website...
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1999/PatriciaKong.shtml ...its anywhere between 300,000 mph and 1.34 million mph. But in either case, it makes Larry's TT look pretty darned slow. Which is why he should be focusing his attention on the corners.

Since Chuck Norris is the center of the universe, every measurement of speed should be relative to his location.
