Default Anyone doing a Valve Job?

Hey, if any of you all are doing a valve job any time soon (next few months), I would like to come help and get the education.

Or is this an off-season/winter project? I'll help then too

Steve, are you asking about a valve job or adjusting the valves? The latter is much simpler (i.e., no engine drop required).

Uh yeah. Adjusting the valves is what I meant.

I thought we dropped engines for valve adjustments

Well yes, that's true. We drop engines for everything. What was I thinking?

Doing one (adjust) for VIR this weekend on my 356 . Also have to do one for the 2.7L (probably 4/9, 4/10 or 4/11. Stop by if you like. Thing is...we can't do anything on your car as the engine has to be "stone" cold ... however cold that is.

I'll have my engine out soon. I will be adjusting the valves. It may be easier to see and explain the process with the engine in front of you.

Process is pretty much the same weather Chev, 356 or 911. The real trick is “how did you get your arm to bend like that” & did you say you could actually SEE the #3 & #6 intake valve stems, & what do I do about the Cat
