I bought a set of open-end steel lug nuts from Vertex for track use. $2.75 each, if I remember correctly. No rusting over the last 3 years, but my car lives in a garage most of the time.
Richard, if you use anti-sieze and take your wheels off regularly, you will have absolutely no problem with the steel nuts.
