Too funny, I got a ticket just north of Richmond coming back from VIR two weekends ago. 80 in a 65, guy cut me no slack either. Was debating the fight it vs. pay it thing too. Cost/benefit analysis says not worth my time to fight it. Although, I am in DC so do those points mean anything for me?

Todd -- don't you have a DC license (not VA)? If so, I wouldn't sweat the ticket. Heck, I'm a VA resident and got 2 tickets in VA in 2 years, and my insurance rates did not increase (it had been 10+ years since I any other tickets)...

I just wanted to thank Rich Lorenz for his referral to a VA attorney. My ticket was dropped. Legal fees totalled $250. Not a bad deal at all in my book.
