Has anyone tried the Sebro slotted rotors on their Cayman S (esp. for track use)? The choices are drilled (lots of suppliers) or the Sebro slotted. I assume they'll get fewer cracks (i.e. none between the holes because there are no holes) but do they not cool as well? Are they significantly heavier?
Thanks in advance. Peter

I used slotted Sebro rotors for years on both my Cayman's until I switched to Girodiscs. I can check, I may have some useable ones I removed when I made the change if you are interested in checking them out.

I much prefer the slotted rotors now, and am staying away from any new purchases of holey variety. If you still have any, I think they're ok to use up on the rear. The fronts get punished, and that's where I've encountered cracks in drilled rotors.

So far I have cracked both drilled, and solid FRONT rotors (with real ducting - not home-made rigged up stuff). I have not cracked a slotted one. Like Tony said, I keep the drilled ones on the rear though. So, from my poorly acquired data, I say go slotted unless you have the budget to keep replacing them.

Have used both drilled and slotted. Fitted Sebro slotted to my Boxster last year with Pagid yellow pads. Lots of DE work and they are still good. They have the usual surface cracks, but nothing like the drilled variety.
Probably psychological, but I think it brakes better. A time bonus for me is that I don't have to clean out the holes after every event!

Ordered the Sebro slotted rotors earlier this week (and will pick up rears from Mike). Thanks all.
