Get the autoblip thing or the pedal extensions, but drive the wheels off the car. Find the weakness in your game and make it a strength.
You're right of course, and maybe if Colleen hadn't asked the question, I'd just be cussing myself when I got it wrong, instead of trying to chase the shiny object that might resolve all ills!

The Auto-Blip looks interesting enough to try, but probably not as sophisticated as the rev-match on, say, the manual GT4.
I will give it a go, and report back for completion of the thread.

Thumbs up

Firstly, thanks for the warning about Colleen, I won’t ask her for a ride along. LOL.
Every time I have a coach reviews my video/data, the comment about my crappy H/T is expected. I respond that I developed an awful habit of downshifting and dumping the clutch to engine brake on the street. it has taken me 20 years to reach my current treble level, and I do not have another 20 years to get to okay.
It is another art in driving which is going to be lost. Just continue to practice in the street.
BTW, Colleen races a pdk. Just tell her you plan to buy one of those to improve your driving. Ha ha

I'm with you, and maybe she'll let me drive Sparkles when it all gets too much.
BTW Nader - are you also heel-toeing into Hogpen at 140 ?

In my early 20's I stepped on a drinking glass which severed the nerves and tendons on the bottom of my right foot. To this day, I can only flex my pinkie toe and although they attempted to reconnect the nerves, I have little to no feeling on the sole of my right foot.

My first track instructor insisted that I learn heel/toe, until my foot kept falling off the brake pedal trying to blip the gas. He and I gave up quickly after almost ending up in the gravel a couple of times. I promptly shared my handicap with my next instructor and suffice it to say, we didn't work on heel/toe. Then I had my first eval ride along and the instructor said "hey you're driving well but why aren't you heel/toe'ing?" I have a handicap, blah, blah, and the instructor got out of the car in the middle of my explanation and said "Look this isn't tennis and if you can walk around this paddock, you can heel/toe. Figure it out!" and he walked away. Tough love for sure but he was right. I worked on it but figured it out soon after. And I've driven some demanding race clutches that give zero room for error. And in all seriousness, Randy Pobst stalled my tricky race clutch...twice!

There wasn't an option for adding autoblip at that time. I probably would have added it if there was but I am VERY happy it wasn't an option It's a driving skill that will be lost on future drivers. Take the challenge and opportunity to learn it. It will be much more rewarding than having a computer do it for you.

Ouch Brian!

Strangely, my heel-toe improved after I broke two toes on the outside of my right foot last year. The physio exercises gave me more flexibility than I ever had before.

I'm not dumping my H-T quite yet. I guess when Colleen mentioned it, my engineering self thought, "oooh..yeah..that could be fun, let's chase the shiny object." Just more engineering masturbation. Then I wondered what the true definition of a "Cheater Car" was.. but that's another thread!

Thanks everyone.

Look at my little picture above, can heel and toe in every manual shift I have driven, some better than others but doable.

I don’t see that as an allowable modification in the Spec rules though Dirk!

Checked rules and bionic is allowed if not battery powered.
