Has anyone ever tried using the reusable vinyl for your race numbers? If so how did they hold up? They are a little pricey and wondering if it is worth the investment. My car lives outside in my heavily regulated HOA community so I cannot keep regular vinyl numbers on full time and painters tape looks like crap plus it leaves a film on the car when removed. I had magnetic numbers which worked well the past few seasons but the newer Cayman has aluminum doors.

Just scored numbers from solo performance. They might work? Certainly good for Autocross.

I've been using the vinyl numbers from http://gochecker.com. They look very good, but are a bit pricey. If you can keep the back of them clean, they should last a couple of seasons.

Yes removable vinyl worked well for me for many years. (I bought big sheets from soloperformance and cut numbers/letters myself.)

Much more secure than magnet (can't believe those are even allow on track...) and easy to peel off and stick back to backing sheet when the event is over. They hold up very well.

Art, which did you go with? The static cling or satin low tack reusable?

I've got the static cling ones from GoChecker... they're great... Ive got at least 5 years out of them and still going strong. Car started as a dedicated track car and is now a SpecE46 race car. I leave them on all the time...occasionally used to pull them off if I need to change the numbers for any reason (different clubs, etc)... They adhere well. The trick is to keep the backs clean, and apply to a surface that does NOT have heavy wax or detailer. Wiping the spot where you plan to apply them with a damp rag and dish soap works well

I've been using the reusable vinyl from Solo performance for several years. The real trick is to remove carefully so you don't deform the vinyl and to keep the tacky surface clean.

I used the static cling from Gochecker. Since I take them off after every event,it can be difficult to keep the back pristinely clean. Once there is dirt on the back, they don't stick all that well.

I used to use the removable ones from Solo. They could handle about one full season.

I went with a Cricut cutter (miscellaneous craft cutting, teacher stuff, and decorative crap I don’t care about), with the feature of cutting my own removable vinyl numbers for ridiculously cheap. If I go with digital bars for numbers, I can get 4 sets of numbers made for $2-3. Simple to use. All my numbers for last two years have been home cut.
