Quality SC and 3.2 Carreras can be found. You want to be very clear if you are looking for a Concours / Garage Queen, a Trackable, or a fixer upper (see anything Rothaus has posted, and weep in admiration).

You may need to travel, definitely need a PPI.

Good luck!

Good words Ken, thanks. I'll begin in earnest after a few more autocross and DE >> new tires >> pads >> wax >> yada yada and sell it.

In the lexicon of my betters money walks and BS talks.

Just bought an 88 911 race car built by Dan Jacobs. In speaking with Dan he says he has not built an air cooled race car in 4 years. Donor cars have gotten too expensive and air cooled parts have followed suit.

This poor thing just sold on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/112350237387?rmvSB=true For $26100 . I remember not long ago I was doing backflips when I thought my car might fetch such a lofty sum. Seller described it as a fun project.

Default The market for air-cooled Porsches ?

D. Porsche said no to water.

When supply goes down, demand goes UP.

Technically, he said "will defiantly be a fun project".

Which, I'm guessing, was not a typo on his part...

Shoot, it looks like our long ignored '71 Targa will need to be dusted off, put back together and put on the block while the supply remains low!!!
