Default Dyno Run Today

Hello Everyone,

Well I had a day off today so I thought I would get the 911 dynoed.

I am very happy with the resuts and I wanted share the news with people that would understand. (My wife does not understand my excitement).

I pulled 219 HP and 213 max torque at the wheels. That translates roughly to 252 HP and 245 max torque at the flywheel with 15% driveline loss.

It is a 86 3.2 Long Block with Webers and and pre 74 exhaust. The rest of the engine is stock.

I attached the jpeg in the members photos on page 2.

Thanks for allowing me to share.

Jeff

10:1.... Hell 5:1 is the magic number!. I'm still trying for 15:1 for my Targa...

Justin,

I took over to Autothority. It was $75.00 and took about an hour from start to finish. I had been wanting to do it for awhile.

Does anybody know how much the actual drivetrain loss is?

Autothority says 15%. What do you Guys think?

Thanks
Jeff

All the coast-down measurements I've seen (only a few, BTW) showed 15% to 18%, so I think the 15% isn't far off from reality on most 911s.

Look at it this way... if the loss is higher than 15%, then you are making even more flywheel HP!!! That car must really fly.

I wonder what the dyno sounded like with those flat-spotted tires

That's why they strap them down!

It wasn't so bad.

Marc,

Did you buy your Yoko's locally, or did you get them elsewhere?

Thanks
Jeff

www.tirerack.com

Radial tire (in Silver Spring) is too far away.
