Default Interior screws?

I just purchased this 1974 260z. The p.o. did some nice upgrades but he didn't get to totally finish getting the car back together.

One of the issues I have is that I have to reassemble the interior bits and there are no screws. Porsche spoiled me with their every part has number for easy ordering.

For your non-pcar projects where do you find automotive interior screws? I already tried advanced auto without success.

McMaster-Carr sells several different kits (assortments) of multiple-sized screws. I bought a metric bolt assortment. It wasn't inexpensive, but they are quality bolts and it has come in amazingly handy, including for many Dorkis. This one is really far from inexpensive, but is likely to have most of what you need (and for a long time). http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-cap-screws/=11j1l4m

BTW, when any one item runs low in my assortment, I order 100 more and fill the box with as many as I can shove into the little space for that size.

I know nothing about z's, except that they look cool, but this looks promising

I usually scab bolts from the junkyard, projects or from parts/cores. Much simple if you have 1 to match up at one of the online supplies. Also check Lowes, they have a decent amount of special hardware that has saved me in a pinch a few times.

Screws or bolts? Metric bolts can be found online in kits. Black painted or Parkerized countersunk Philips head screws which are common in many cars of the era? Check in some non big box hardware stores and online

Fastenal.com is another source, if McMaster-Carr comes up short.

Both. I need screws for inside the engine bay and screws to attach the center console, passenger door grab, upper center console

Most of the older community hardware stores carry a nice selection of auto interior screws (some w/the built in washers too) Hollin Hall Hardware has these.
