Cool Good things do happen to good people

Just got a call from my daughter - flat tire. She wants to know what to do. She is in Williamsburg at school and has headed out of town for a weekend in Rochester, NY some 500 miles away.

Quote:
Are you safe off the highway?
Yes
Do you have your AAA card with you?
Yes, but where will they take the car? They can put on a spare tire, I know. Do I have a spare tire?
Look in the trunk under the carpet.
Yes! Can I drive on that?
Does it look like the other tires or is it small?
Small
No. What kind of tire is it?
Goodyear
It looks like there is a Goodyear Tire Center in Billburg at 1501 Richmond Road. AAA can bring it there or you could even call them and they might come out and plug it for you where you are
<crickets> I'm at 1620. It's across the street. I'll call them.
calls back...

Quote:
It's free fix tire week! They said I could drive it over and I was next in line and they will plug it in 5 minutes
Buy a lottery ticket
Of course, had it been me it would have happened in West Virginia in the dark on a one-and-a-half lane logging road on the side of a mountain as it started to rain and the tire would have been cut with the nearest replacement in Germany.

This Ratty Porsche 356 Is Totally Perfect

This isn't a trailer queen, it's a driver. As it should be.

We loved driving ours back and forth to work. Looking forward it being our DD again though hopefully not back and forth to work!
