Default Generations... Not Star Trek!!

I have had my 951 for so long... In fact it has been in my family since the early 90's. Don't know why I keep it. I don't even put 1000 miles a year on it. Just takes up precious garage space. It's pretty much original except for some minor upgrades when things wear out such as vacuum lines, stereo, wastegate shims, etc.

So, every once in a while, I feel the need to upgrade the looks. Mostly wheels at this point. Thinking, that an original 944 Turbo would appreciate in value.... NOT!!!

So, from its humble beginnings with the 16" phone dials, I swapped them for Cup 1's a decade ago. Now, I was able to pick up some Hollow Spokes (Thanks John) and with some mild detailing and polishing, made them look pretty nice.

So, here they are, the old and the new. Which ones do you like the best?

Wow! Beautiful car. The hollows look great. I almost prefer the phone dials.

My daughter says they are retro not old. Teens are all about the eighties right now.

18" Turbo Hollow Spokes over the 16" Phone Dials!

The Phone Dials are classic, but IMHO the 951 looks better with 18" wheels and the lower profile tires.

Well, that is sad since the dials are long gone. Given cup 1s or hollow spokes, what would u pick?

Since I moved a few times the last 10 years, I do not think all the excess car part would have followed me.
