Melanie and I will be there. My car will likely be on jackstands getting brakes bled between sessions

I'll be over at the extended Jefferson circuit with the BMW club. Lots of skidpad practice planned and a first look at the new track.

Jonathan, I plan to be there. I'll be driving a white BMW #24. I've had lots of practice bleeding brakes if you need a hand or foot.

Hopefully won't be bleeding them much, but if I am, BlackTalon (Dave) showed me how to use a power bleeder and get it done solo. I always feel half-sheepish asking someone to help, and my wife and friends have certainly already paid their dues in that department. I put in (that's a loose term, I am obviously not a skilled fabricator) these ducts since the last PCA DE to try and get more air in. I will look for you though to say hi. These pictures are my PCA weekend ducts, and my over-zealous dremel tool new version.
If this doesn't work I very may well have a Cayman at the next spring event.

It was a really fine weekend on the extended Jefferson circuit with the capital region BMW club. Love the new section--it has some neat topography with some big sweepers and a great decreasing radius turn (now number 7). New turns 8 and 9 are similar to 6 and 7 on Summit Main. Use a little throttle steer at constant steering input. Then blast out into the slightly extended back straight. Wow! What fun!
I hated winter last year. I'm really gonna hate it this year.

Melanie and I had a good time as well on Main. My alternator crapped out so we split time in her Cayman. Obviously a totally different feel. I must say I got out of it feeling better about my car, instead of worse as I had expected. Both were fun, just very different.

As for the new section, it is fun and tight and seems safe. Plenty of people went off, but no impacts that I am aware of. The uphill left can be taken at "ludicrous speed" and the incline catches the car. Then at the crest, it is blind with an approaching track edge. The bad news is that it is very bumpy. The left leading into the old section is so bad my head hit the roof most laps in my students cars. The bumps really detracted from what could have been an amazing addition. The other highlight of the weekend was a new twist to the off line drills. We made teams of two that ran nose to tail and the trailing car has to stay on the opposite side if the track then pass each time on pit straight. I'll post a video of the instructor session where we tested the concept. It's hilarious.
