Saw the same thing in Rockville some years ago, looked like a teenager got stuck on the tracks w/red light ahead and gate on back. Road was plentiful wide and double track so lots of room to move out of way... But he didn't, though his 5 friends got out of the car and ran!!! Train spun car completely around and damm near hit mine (was in the opposite lane. I'd started out of my car to tell him to move but to late. Fear and lack of common sense is tough combo in most situations.

traveling home from my parent's house on northbound I-795 in NC, I encountered a southbound car motoring along at highway speeds in the northbound lanes. I can't believe my first thought wasn't "hey, I should grab my phone and snap a photo for the fail thread".
