John, that is interesting. Once John Eberhardt suggested a little different line to me, I found that coming out of T5, I could nail it as soon as I could see the T6 apex and really fly down the hill. (T6 is the left turn coming down the hill after the carousel?)

While the Gulf car was very fast, it did not have a whole lot of power. When I gave him a pass on the straight, I typically had to lift.....

Correct. I love T6. I felt a lot more confident this year getting to full throttle earlier around T5. The NT01s helped with that. They seamed to inspire more grip/confidence than the R888s I had been running.

the car was faster. the driver was (admitedly) a novice but from talking with the support guys, the car itself had a good 5-7 seconds faster per lap in the hands of the pro coach the driver also hired for the weekend.

Dick, you are obviously correct. I slowed somewhat after giving him a point bye, but it took forever and I ended up almost waiting at turn in to the Bus Stop - in fact I just stayed track left.

Hey - I just switched to R 888's from Super Sports, but I have been using them on my spider for years and am used to them. I think they performed better than the Pirelli's, but I have no frame of reference at WG.

Great video! I can't wait until I am at the level where I get to point by and take points everywhere! This track was also really good for points because the track is so wide. Here is my video playing with my other buddy in the BMW M3. He was using the mic I bought. Sounds nice I think. I know its a long video, but any criticism would be appreciated. Who was in that older white porsche in blue group? He was fast! We both got by him, but couldn't shake him. I think the only reason he let me by is because he wanted to play chase.

Looking at the video, think there was a 52 or 62 in his number.
