I'll second everyone's thoughts -- great race. There's just something about Kimi I love, even if 90% of the time it makes me scratch my head and go, "WTF?"
Next stop: AUSTIN. AND I'LL BE THERE!!!! T4. This'll be my first live F1 race; I really hope they don't F@#& it up. <-- to quote Seb/Kimi.

Vettle -vs- Alonso
The race is coming up in a few minutes to decide the championship. Vettel will pick up the title under the following circumstances: - Finishing in the top four - Finishing fifth, sixth or seventh if Alonso doesn’t win - Finishing eighth or ninth if Alonso is third or lower - If Alonso does not finish on the podium Alonso is the new three-time World Champion if this happens: - Winning with Vettel fifth or lower - Finishing second with Vettel eighth or lower - Finishing third with Vettel tenth or lower From- http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/2...ey-have-to-do/

One of the best races of the year. Fun watching the teams dealing with the constantly changing rain. I'm still a bit confused about how Vettel seemed to avoid the passing under yellow penalty. Even the announcers seemed a bit confused about the flashing yellow lights that supposedly were not tied to yellow flag
.I was rooting for Alonso to pull off the championship points battle, because I find Vettel annoying, despite the fact that he's a good driver. If there had been a yellow flag infraction, the results might have been different. Maybe RedBull is garnering more clout in decision making these days than Ferrari And I wonder if Kimi's going to followup with a new T-shirt, following his excursion down a dead end access road....

The yellow lights were apparently "track condition lights", not yellow flag. They were apparently denoting that the surface was "slippery". Fantastic race. I was a bit conflicted re the championship. Vettel really is as good as he looks. I'm surprised no one really bothered mentioning his impressive run from last all the way up to a points-scoring position. And this wasn't even the first time he had done it THIS SEASON. He's going to be awesome. Alonso, on the other hand, is perhaps a better driver than even Vettel. How he managed to drive an inferior car so well is truly remarkable. Only beef with him that I have is that he's whiny and perpetually grumpy. But not in an endearing way like Kimi. Vettel won me over at COTA when he spent significantly more time autographing than he should hav and literally gave away the clothes off his back. Plus, at his core he's still a young kid. Part of him just seems happy to be out there. Being a younger guy myself, I can relate to that.
