Thanks, you still the man! Nice pic of you and your car on their website. But it looks like you forgot your glasses

Pretty sure you are allowed to do just about anything if you identify it as a safety feature.
like remove door panels or window mechanisms, unless they interfere with the roll cage. So adding door bars that protrude into the doors also allows you to remove a window mech etc.
Tying in the shock tower can add some extra protection in front of the driver, so you may be able to use it as a ‘safety feature’….as long as you can sell it well!

Technically thats tied in ‘near’ the shock tower is still just about as good.

least thats my understanding of it, i could be wrong...disclaimer i also have a bolt in POS roll cage that came with the car so i havent put as much research in as charlie and Ryan

^ X2 was thinking of adding the A pillar bracing, 2 nd. door and a knee bar and one across the back between the rear most braces this winter… all in the name of safety!

For clarification, Moton shocks are excellent/outstanding dampers. I have been using them since 2004 on my RSA and the quality, performance and reliability have been proven. I had routine service performed by Moton after four years of track use, and there was absolutely no visible or measurable wear, so they just replaced the seals and I was good to go.

That said, the MCS products referenced above are even better. Very interesting history; Jerome Van Gool (the "J" in JRZ) left JRZ to start Moton, and in the process made significant technical improvements in the shock design. Lex Carson, the Moton US rep and factory support provider was/is exceptional. After experiencing financial difficulties Moton was sold to AST Suspension in 2011; the good news is that Moton shocks and parts are readily available, though while no personal experience with them, AST is not exactly known for excellent customer support. After Moton was sold Jerome and Lex then started Motion Control Suspension and again evolved/improved the product. Based on my past experience with their shocks and support while at Moton, their new products would be very highly recommended.

My only concern with MCS was they are a new company and are they going to be around in a few years if shock breaks and it needs servicing? Heard they are good and about their "2 second" guarantee, plus they are a bit cheaper than Motons, but in the end Charlie said go with the Motons, so I did.
