BINGO!!

Same behavior after work, on the first key turn I waited to depress the clutch petal, and after fluttering it a few times it fired right up!

If this fix does the final trick, I'll stop annoying you all with my whining. <crosses fingers behind back/>

Update: I've tested the switch and it appears to be passing current normally so I "adjusted" the lever on the switch with a slight bend. Car fired up cold first start!

So far, so fixed!(?)

I also have a spare battery on hand now. Autocraft Silver 91-1
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...___#fragment-2

which was replaced with this: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...___#fragment-4

Taking offers for either but I would prefer to keep the newer battery now that its installed. I had one PM regarding the battery before so if that person is still interested they have dibbs.

Solved!

The final fix was the manual adjust to the Clutch Pedal Switch (Ignition Lock) micro switch. 3-4 Cold starts all normal on the first turn.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions!
