You mean the fact that it took close to an hour to get in.

I think it took like 30 minutes when we got there at like 1pm, and while I was pretty fired up about it at first, meh. We used the light rail from BWI after driving from arlington, so that part was pretty easy.
We some a lot of dive-bomb passing into the hairpin, especially from cars that felt like they were being held up. I was particularly impressed by the falken tire cup car who was being held up by one of the two bmws. After dive bombing the bmw in T1 he pulled away by a full straight before that caution. We bailed with about 40 minutes left because we didn't want to be getting back to arlington too late, and I wanted to watch the taped florida game. Will watch the balance on espn tomorrow, and will come next year (with a running porsche, perhaps).

I spent the day in the turn 1 suites. Good times. Nice to have the roof over our heads during the rain and sun. While I had a partial view a large screen, it would of been nice to see some stats. Hard to tell what's going on with earplugs and loud engines. Could only hear the audio portion when the cars weren't around. Overall it was a great day. Easy to get in, and out from my perspective, but I go there around 9:00 and went out to dinner afterwards. Was glad to see Porsche dominate the field and beat up on the BMWs and Ferraris. Jaguar never made it on track so it appears they have kept their stellar reliability standards..

We had a great time. Will do again next year.
We had tickets and parking arranged months ago. Parking was in a garage on W. Pratt Street which was accessed via right turn from MLK Blvd and put us almost at the garage. Seats were in Number 8 bleachers midway between turn 1 and 3 (the hairpin). Saw Tony P and family plus others recognized from DE events. Saw Arob and others while walking through the area near the PorschePlatz. Our seats in #8 grandstands allowed for excellent views of Turn 4 which was very bouncy. Amazing to see the drivers use that to advantage to get the car to hook up just past apex. The other benefit of the seats was a bigscreen monitor in full view which allowed us to see the action all the way around the circuit. One thing of note: the Hooters was a very good place to watch from, if you could get in. This is an upstairs facility with a nice outside deck that overlooked the area near Turn 2. We had lunch there during the two brief rain showers and the server staff was saying there was a two hour time limit on the tables but they weren't exactly enforcing that if the customers were buyin drinks. We had our tickets and parking arranged long before I heard any information announced about the Porscheplatz which included entrance and parking. Hopefully next year, that will work out for us. I will say that our parking garage on W. Pratt worked out really well and we had absolutely no problem leaving the city for I-95 S back to VA.

Here's the track map. #8 bleachers are on the right.

Here's some pics, couple before the cars went to the grid, and then a couple different track locations (one is the light rail tracks). I asked Jörg Bergmeister, which was rougher, Sebring or Baltimore? He said, Baltimore was far rougher.

I spoke to a lot of drivers and engineers, none said they were consulted about the set up of the track in any way. This was both the ALMS and Indy teams. Another "funny" one is that several were willing to admit that they repaved exactly opposite of where they would have.
I'll give street courses another shot, maybe, but they suck compared to road courses. Another thing similar to DC was/is that some of the best seats were free.

Here's a few more pix of the cars getting ready to move from the paddock to the track in the morning.
