Probably the best known track on the east coast, and certainly one of the best in the country. Will be going up Thursday and staying in Horse Head. We go north up MD 15 to Harrisburg, then up along the Susquehanna river. Very scenic drive

Tech complete, tires flipped, trailer serviced, so I should be good. Looking forward to it.

TR,

If you pass me, I may have to take my "wife's" car out for the next session......

Had to cancel, my car won't be ready in time.

I'm curious about that map, it must not be in proper proportion. The sole of the boot looks shorter than the start/finish straight but says it's 500ft longer. Also the back straight on the short course says 2040 ft and looks the same as the start/finish straight at 1214ft. What gives?

I've been droving a miata on i-racing.com and considering whether its worth using one of my life time mariage supply of "she'll get over its" -- not really a convenient time to go.

Seems like a lot of time just waiting for the next corner.

i'll be watching vids from now until then to familiarize myself. 2 questions - i assume we run the whole course/the boot? and do we use the "inner loop" bus-stop-like thingy (?) which is near the end of the back straight?

John -- it's a fun track. Running wide open up the esses is just plain awesome, and getting a good, fast line through the busstop is a challenge. The downhill left-hander into the boot is tricky as well (too easy to wuss out and bleed off too much speed).

For as much straight as the track has, some of the turns are a challenge to master if you are really trying to maximize your momentum.

Instructing only. I ordered new seats for Carolyn's car and hopefully they'll arrive by the weekend, so I can put the seats and harness in. Will put on Nitto NT01s and have her drive the car for a few days on the street to scrub them. Wish I had another week to get it to the shop for sways.
