Default LN Engineering Back at IMA on April 2, 1011

Posting this for Ivan Arzola/ IMA. I don't have a formal write-up, so I'll do my best here.

LN Engineering is returning to IMA Motorsport on April 2, 20100 for another seminar. The focus will be on engine oils. As at the previous seminar, there should be a lot of info for owners (and future owners) of Boxsters, Caymans, 996s and 997s. This seminar will cover some of the same ground as the last one, but will build on that information and go a bit further. There will be a partially disassembled engine to look at/ play with.

Here's a snippet from the announcement for the previous event:

"Charles will present information regarding common engine failures and why they happen. He will also tell you how a ceramic IMS bearing upgrade can save and/or extend the life of your engine.

Charles will also present information about different oils and their effect on your engine. He will tell you about the different additives and blends the oil companies are using and why some are better than others."

As with the last seminar, pre-registration is required and a $20 fee will be collected. This fee will help cover airfare, food and lodging for Charles, as well as the coffee and donuts in the morning and lunch in the afternoon.

Please call IMA at 703-327-9858 if you have any questions and/or to pre-register.

IMA is located at 25354 Pleasant Valley Rd., Suite 155, Chantilly, VA 20152.

Bump. From PCA:

IMA Motorsports (Chantilly, VA) is, once again, having Charles Novarro from LN Engineering at their facility on Saturday, April 2nd to discuss IMS failures on the M96 and M97 engines which fit every car non turbo or non GT3, up until the DFI cars came out (1997 to 2008). Also IMA will have a motor torn down to examine and have a show and tell with the participants. Performance improvements will also be discussed. Charles is a wealth of information and it should be an interesting and informative discussion. This special Tech Session begins at 9:00 a.m. at IMA’s facility located at 25354 Pleasant Valley Road, Ste 155B, Chantilly, VA 20152. Breakfast and lunch will be provide and IMA is asking for a for a small contribution of $20.00 per person (payable at the door) to cover Charles’ travel expenses, food cost, etc. For additional information, here is a link to IMA Motorsport’s website < a href="https://emailer.pca.org/ClickCounter.aspx?jobid=13841&redirurl=http://www.imamotorsport.net/">http://www.imamotorsport.net/

Thanks David,

I always wanted to see a engine apart. I will pass by to check it out.

If I take my own food and etc can I pay something like $18?

My clutch went at SP on the last run on Sunday. IMA is changing clutch and IMS on Thursday. Maybe my old IMS will be show and tell on Saturday. I actually discussed with Ivan using my car on Saturday but it is my DD and I need it back before the weekend. Starting Friday, I will NEVER have to read another IMS thread again!

Not sure they can… maybe a good gynecologist could give you a prescription or something? Why not PM DrK for a referral? Who does Hunt use?

relief is pretty much what you get with the bearing. from that standpoint alone, LN seems to have come up with a pretty lucrative product.
