I got heat! Went over to Tito's and he helped me figure out what I needed to get heat into the cabin without the heater blower. Reconnected heater hoses underneath, ensured both flapper boxes worked and crossed over one hose to a "T" and that's it. Probably a 2 hours job to include a trip to Home Depot for the rubber "T" .
Next Tito pointed out that I need to check all vacuum rubber hoses lines, and I need to install a "toilet seat" to prevent the air box to blow up due to the back-fire. All together was a great learning and hands on experience. Many thanks to Tito for his time and assistance. By the way, the car got pretty hot inside on the way home more so that I expected. |

Glenn, you actually do have a blower...it is in front, where i was showing you. with the blower on, the car will get more air pushed into the car due to the blower helping to move it in. I learned something myself this weekend as well. My car has separate foot blowers as well so i have never used the front blower at the same time...but worked them on sunday after you left and get more air into the car. So...it isnt that you dont have a blower...your car at present is set up as originally designed...nice to meet you. nice looking car...a little work and the engine will run great...

Tiito,
Sounds great and thanks for your assistance. Up comming projects: 1. pop up valve installation (airbox) work on replacing vaccum lines. try to fix surging and rought performance, etc.. 2. repair calipers (with the assistance of Vice) 3. install foot pedals bushings, springs, etc... maybe do the same with the shifter and clutch adjustment (new clutch cable) to improve shifting. etc 4. Continue to work in the interior cabin restoration. |
