For knowing almost nothing about me, you certainly have formed a solid, if completely incorrect, opinion. So, who is closed-minded? Oh, and FWIW, I have purchased 0! non-working cars! ZERO! Now if you want to insult my speed on working on them, well that hit I will take. Afterall, my helping of the underprivileged, and my family, come before my crs. A concept that you may find alien.

Yes marsosporsche, your car is fine as is for driver's ed. Give it a try ... it's a hoot.

And ignore this conversation ... dorkiphus threads often take the WTF side trip.

Harboring a pet peeve against anyone whose opinion differs from your own? That's funny, coming from someone who claims to be so tolerant and open minded!

If you're buying new brake pads, get a decent set of high performance street pads like Hawk HPS instead of $20 Mintex. Change the brake fluid with something decent like ATE 200 instead of the latest Advance Auto Parts brand fluid, and you'll be set for several DEs. These are good street car upgrades so if you decide the track isn't for you you haven't wasted any money. If you do decide that you like the track thing, you'll burn through the pads faster than you'll be ready to step up to the next level anyway, so no worry about wasting money there either.

Echoing the sentiments expressed here and by my fellow dorki bredren! All you need is some good rubber, swap of brake pads and fluid, and bring the 911 out to the next Tech Inspection. From there, just make sure the nut behind the wheel is good.

My taste buds aren't more important, although I do LOVE a great hamburger, I just need protein to live and eating some other create's proteins happens to be very efficient way to get it, and its endorsed by most natural carnivores so pick your argument:

1) God created them that way,

or

2) They evolved that way over time.

It doesn't matter to me and I'm not going to feel guilty for it.

Eat what you want and I'll take your stake at the next cook out!

The best source of proitein for us is actually legumes. Check out the omega 3 vs 6 issue and digestion time/efficincy. Next would be fish. Also, if you need to cook it, your body wasn't menat to eat it. There are a ton of other scientific arguments that have nothing to do with ethics.

Back to the original question, I agree with Pari and Jazz. I would, however, really do through your brakes. NOthing like a fresh set of hoses and for a mid-year through carrera, that should be in the neighborhood of $60. Safety first. Also check fuel line (rubber and plastic. From there its all fun stuff.

I am really hoping that I can attend the 1st HPDC and really feel what my 996 can do. Hope to see you there!

No kidding. Live parasites add a true flavor and texture enhancement. Very little animal based food is grown, harvested and handled with safe enough methods to be OK to eat raw.

Look you are all right. Don't eat meat or do eat meat. This is the Technical Discussion area.
