Guys, you need to get into the 21st century. There are companies who make "leathers" w/o using any dead animal product. In fact, a lot of the ballistic fabrics work better, weigh less, breathe better, etc! All you need is a jacket and pants or 1 piece with elbow, knee, shoulder, etc. protection. They even rent them if you don't want to spend the 1k + to buy one.

Don't worry, TR, there are a couple of campanies who make hemet in my size XXXXXL

So they don't contain any actual leather? What's the advantage of that?

No one here hates vegetarians. But some intensly dislike a certain one who is probably the most closed-minded person on this BBS, yet likes to portray himself as very liberal.
