I used the band-type w/o problems. I have cup type for the volvo and the 996.

This year I have Replaced; Motor mounts, hydrualic lifters, rod bearings, water pump, and the list goes on...

But at No part during any of those jobs did I become more irrated than last time I tried to get the oil filter off!!! Ha ha, What a stupid spot to put the oil filter. C'mon Porsche Engineers seriously? I mean it's the Oil Filter, Regular Maint
enance, Make it easily maintainable!

Phew, just had to get that off my chestt...
