Default DC Towing?

Hi,

I need to have a 996 Carrera towed (flatbed), and need a recommendation on a towing company. It will be going from 20008 (DC NW) to 20152 (near Dulles).

Thank you.

You belong to AAA?? Membership might be worth it just for this tow. AAA quarantees the service.

But I thought that they try to fix it? So they may decide to jump start it, etc. I want it towed.

Thanks

Have never even offered when I've used them. I just tell them it's dead and I want it taken to X. Do have to specify roll back.

Kind-of-sort-of. Roll back is a flatbed that can drop the back to alow a car to be tow or driven up.

When I looked at the AAA information, they say that it depends on the towing guide for the vehicle. If it doesn't specify a flatbed, that costs extra. Also, to travel more than 3 miles, the AAA charge is $4.50 per mile, whereas a direct tow seems to cost around $3 per mile.

Get the silver plan. It's a little more, but you can get tows up to 100 miles, included. Like 3 a year.

When my 911 broke down on the side of the road, I said I needed a flatbed. They sent one, no questions asked.

As to price, well....it's a Porsche. Where are you taking it? A shop? maybe they have a recommended tower.
