It could be said that no driver totaled it.

IMO 'physically' the car was never totaled....yes according to the insurance company it was. The chassis is probably straighter now than it was before the accident.

Personally I think Dr K should let all previous owners drive the car...Rick K included.

Rick K was part of the series of events that led up to Peter getting the car. Without Rick Peter probably wouldn't have the car!

i only check this forum once in a while. boy, i thought this would be done already. don't you wish you'd just bought someone's track car already built? think of all the free time and extra money you'd have.

Noah,
I may have saved a lot of time, and possible a little money (but the way things are going probably either a wash or I'm saving a bit), but I'm having a great time, learning A LOT, have a car that will comfortably fit me and a cage that will be safe for someone my size and allow me to exit the car quickly, and am glad I'm going through it.

Kurt,
Actually, Rick didn't total it - that stupid lady making a left from the right hand lane totaled it, and she's not going to drive it! (unless she's hot...)

Peter

Is this a subtle hint? Or holiday gift perhaps?

Well, Ben hasn't considered it much of a project yet - in fact, since it's still in Richmond, he's never even SEEN it yet. Fortunately for him, his dad really enjoys going to the track with him and loves him very much (just not quite enough to buy him his own HANS device...which he could buy for himself).
