(Prepared) Body/Chassis: Fender flaring is allowed using factory material
As long as the fenders are of stock material (steel) and are stock width, you can attach them using fasteners. i would always suggest checking with Donna Amico first, but this seems to be a common way to repair fender damage. I have first hand knowledge of this.

It's hard to see in these pics but you may be able to see the flare modifications:

I agree about the fastener.

My comment was on the different shape wheel arches. (but quoted TR's original message clumsily. )

Removable was prolly my idea. Lane's RSA is the poster child for why this is a good idea.

my bad, i thought it was about the fasteners. i've heard that about the arches. but never seen of anyone getting called on it since I started racing. but the scruts I've talked to said they have dealt with that issue in the past.

Scott, I can now see what they did. Looks like the orig edge is still visible?

I still think a little time w/ a hammer and dolly it'll look far better faster than a rusted visible seam w/ screws. Doubly so accounting for the fact people don't usually give a crap what a race car looks like. Save replacing the fenders for when you really bang it up. I bet one could get that passable in <30min.

I hear ya.

Yes all the original metal is still there, just completely pulled out.

The problem is if the original flares could be put back stockish enough so that people don't protest Dr K when he wins.

By replacing the quarters with 100% stock metal this is a non-issue, even if the quarters are screwed on.

I think this comes down to personal preference. Dr K wants screwed on quarters (I think).
