I do indeed. One of my relatives had a set with a remote like that when I was a kid. You could drive the TV crazy by shaking a set of keys.

Since that was long before I discovered rock music, unmuffled exhausts and firearms I could clearly hear the 'ping!' of the remote. Adults just heard a click. I thought that was pretty weird, along with the fact that they couldn't hear the transformer whine.

I bought a betamax and 19 inch Sony when I gradeated coledge in 84 for like $1000!! It broke me. But got good use as I just decommed the TV this year due to DTV switch.

There is an App for iTouch/iPhone called "Annoy a Teen". It emits a high pitch squeal that my kindergarten age boys can hear and don't mind, but my wife can hear and it drives her bonkers. (its not a long trip for her. ) I can't hear anything at all.
