Get a plasma and not an LCD. Not all LCD's suck but I have seen a couple that show a trail on fast moving things on the screen. So like a football going through the air has a trail. You don't want that!

I have a Pioneer 50" plasma and its spectacular and I have 1 Hitachi projection and 2 Vizio LCD's. The Vizio's are amazing and worth every penny but nothing is the Pioneer.

No more Pioneer Kuro's after April. Get 'em while you can.

Optoma HD70 projector !!! I was shooting a 100" 16:9 screen until I took it all apart to redo the theater room. Otherwise I have a 36" non-HD tube tv that I am still watching.

I gotta get that basement done.

I haven't researched the market for a few years, but I love my Pioneer Elite. Enough to consider buying a Kuro before they are gone (at half the price I paid for the earlier model).

The hot "new" technology is Organic LED (OLED). If you're impressed with the 1 1/2" thick Hitachi, think mylar-thin screen that can wrap around a corner... They are making small ones now; I think big ones are a ways off yet.
