Welcome, Berk. Boxsters are great at the track. Come try some DEs next year with PCA (cheaper than FATT, and you don't need to miss work).

}{arlequin - Thanks man. It's a crap shoot w/ the black wheels sometimes. Some days I love them, some days I don't. I'm about to slap on a set of RG5B's on them this week (if I have the time).....

Dr K - I cannot agree with you more. My Boxster has the PSS9's, PSE and Chip and let me tell you, that car can dance around a track. I thought I could drive it around the track at its limits, but let me tell you, when the instructor took it out....WHOA.....she had a lot more to give. I'd love to try some of the DE's next year with PCA, I was just always too late w/ the registration. See you all very soon at a future GTG hopefully.

All the best for a great holiday season everyone....

Berk

Who was your instructor? Miriam?

To sign up for DEs, put the dates that sign-up for each event begins (which will be posted with the schedule) in your calendar or phone, to alert you at, like 7-8 AM (unless you're up late the night before when signup begins at, I believe, 1 AM). You'll get into the events. In fact, this year, most of the events didn't actually fill right away, and with persistent economy woes, next year may be even more available.

It is definitely open to spectators.. might be boring and cold. Bring warm clothes. I would offer to let you ride with me but I already have my passenger seat full for the day.

I'll be on street tires this time so you would have a funner ride in the spring when it is warm.

Hi All,

Just a quick introduction from a new Porsche owner. I was at the Maryland PCA breakfast event yesterday and was told about this site by one of the members. I was also told that there are some gun nuts here like myself so this should be a good place to be. I have an '05 Cayenne Turbo and live in Fairfax Station. Here's a recent photo with snow shoes for going up to the ski slopes!

Welcome, most prefer "enthusiast" to "nut" though. Now that you have the tow part down lets talk about getting you a track weapon for next season

Ok, "enthusiast nut" then. Regarding the track thing, that's what I told my brother-in-law. He has a 997 Carrera S, all blacked out as well; so, I'm trying to convince him to let me track it for him since I have the tow vehicle now!
