I don't really imagine Her Dr had a whole lot of choice. Either work at what you do damn well or bye bye! The French by all accounts used him for their car industry and then held him hostage

Interesting book about the time: Grang Prix Sabateurs
http://www.morienval.com/ Some of the things done during that era are simply amazing, but this book about the Grand Prix drivers in the resistance is beyond belief.
