Default Good drives to see Fall Colors

Hi guys,

My parents are visiting me for a week and would like to show the fall colors around here. Willing to drive 1-2 hours outside of metro. Any recommendations for good spots, parks or roads? Thanks.

Excellent topic. I was actually thinking about it this morning when I saw the news talking about West VA foliage being at its peak.

ken i noticed that your GT3 will not fit 3 people. I would be more than happy to lend you my jeep in exchange for your GT3 this weekend.

on an unrelated matter, is it too late to sign up for the nasa event at summit point this weekend? also, does anyone know what class a 996 GT3 would be?

Haha! My car has special back seats if you haven't knew. Or, may be I'll strap my dad on the roof!

When are you buying one yourself? Best time to buy that car is NOW!

This is the time of year I'd love to be back in NY. Hardly any traffic and the views in the Adirondaks and the Finger Lakes are amazing! Just wish I could give any opinions about around here. FWIW, the eastern shore isn't bad once you are off the beaten path; small towns and clear roads (once the beach traffic subsides).

No much in the way of fall colors around here yet. You'll have to head towards the mountains and/ or up north a bit. Not sure how Skyline Drive is doing -- it may be late enough to see some colors, yet early enough that tourist traffic isn't too nuts.

I think its a bit early still up here.. Another 10 days and it would be much nicer.

Seriously though.. taking your parents to look at foliage? We will need to confiscate the GT3 for this kind of thinking!
