Default Canadian GP cut for 2009

So the only hope for me seeing a GP next year gone. This sucks!! That is a great track and a great venue. It usually does very well with ticket sales.

Obviously too expensive for Bernie to come to North America without a US GP.

I hear it may be back in 2010. I bet the manufacturers are pissed about this as they were already annoyed about not having a USGP. Eh, not like the US and Canada buy many cars anyway.

Maybe they could do the US GP at Summit Point, on the new, expanded Jefferson Circuit

Even better, there was a USGP East and a USGP West and they were at opposite ends of the calendar. They were usually crappy street circuits too, Detroit and Long Beach, prime examples.

Long Beach may have been a crappy track but the race was fun to watch, but then I am on my way to Shanghai for a meeting and a catered seat for the race. Somehow my summer business travel centers around GP's and my winter travel around the WRC, gotta have something to do on the weekends.

Hugh... didn't know that. Either way, the real answer is that Bernie is shifting to the developing nations whose governments are willing to fork over the cash to sponsor the race (China, India, etc). This is why the US, now canada and soon enough I'm sure the UK GP's would be gone in his mind. I'd guess that only the teams want to stay in those locals....and obviously the fans...
