Chris is right on target about prices. The dollar has tanked against most currencies, particularly this year. Lots of reasons why, but I don't suggest a political discussion here. But lots of our goodies are pricier now, including those Recaros.

As for fasteners, isn't there a grading standard for degree of hardness/integrity, with a grade 8 the strongest? Shouldn't be hard to determine what products meet that standard, or claim to.

Yes, but just make sure you know what you're getting from Euro Web Parts. They had a short shift kit for $107. I called to ask if it was Porsche factory or Weltmeister. They assured me it was Porsche, which is a steal at $107. Guess what showed up - Weltmeister, which is worth about $37 less than what I paid.

Steve

Take a look @ www.pap-parts.com. I got a pair of turbo tie rods for my 911. With shipping $106.00 & the parts were delivered within 3 days. Very impressed. Most all parts were considerably less than Peek Performance, Tweeks, & way less than Pelican Parts. Give it a look.

Wow. This place may have just become my new favorite Porsche store. Everything I looked up was way lower than any of the places I've seen. I'd never heard of this place.

There's got to be a catch... they only ship be carrier pidgeon... They're a front for an illegal smuggling operation (wait.. scrath that - I'm getting them confused with someone else). Any idea where they're located?

BTW - check out the "overstock" section, AKA the "crap so expensive no one could afford it" section. Quite a selection. Need a brand new OEM Targa Top? Yours for only $4,650.00. That's almost $1000 off!

I had a problem wit PAP about 1-1/2 years ago. I ordered a rear Carrera caliper, and they sent me an SC caliper. When I phoned in the order, I asked them to call me before they boxed it up for shipping, so we could verify it truely was a Carrera caliper (as another vendor had recently sent me an SC caliper instead of a Carrera caliper). Long story longer, they did not call, and the caliper turned out to be an SC caliper. I had to ship it back to them. They reimbursed me for the purchase price, but would not pay me back for the return shipping.

Oh, and I missed a DE because of this!

Check out Pelican for threads on PAP, they have a history. I bought some stuff from them and it was blantly the wrong parts, I ended up challenging the charge as they didnt respond to any pleas for help.
