ok, looking for one thing reminded me of something else... here are some of the stranger (or innovative, depending where you sit) watches

a claimed 31 day pwr reserve. horizontal instead of traditional axes- Quenttin

what looks like some kind of a chain drive (would love to see it 'move')- Cabestan

this one actually is car themed - Bugatti

belt driven tag. wonder if you have to adjust the tensioners

practical? probably not. geeky engineering cool? oh yeah.

I was going to mention the Tag. Not sure that's a timing belt I want to replace. Cool piece, but really, really strange.

That Bugatti watch is amazing... but for the $ you could have a 997 GT3 RS with almost 70K to spare... after taxes.

A watch made entirely of complications. Pure Genius.

I sold off most of my collection to buy my 911, but here is one that had a cool automotive connection:

This is Gerard Perregaux F1 047. The case is aluminum and the dial carbon fiber. The watch commemorates a Ferrari F1 car of the same name.

Also, I owned at one time this version of the Mille Miglia with the harder to find titanium bracelet, I am not a fan of the Dunlop strap myself.

Or how about a carbon dialed split seconds Omega Speedmaster Chronograph.

But for the ultimate "car" watch, you have to consider Richard Mille. Massa wears one while driving. I never owned one of these
